Locked Out of Your House in London? We Get You Back In
Lockout Service in London: The Lockouts We See Most
Door Slammed Shut
A latch door that has closed behind you is usually the quickest to open. We use bypass tools where the door allows, leaving the frame, paint and lock untouched.
Latch BypassLost or Stolen Keys
We get you in, then talk about changing or rekeying the lock. If the keys may be in the wrong hands, securing the house becomes the priority.
Secure After EntryKey Snapped in the Lock
The broken end can usually be pulled out with fine tools, leaving the cylinder intact. If it is damaged, we fit a matching replacement.
Key ExtractionuPVC and Composite Doors
Most use Euro cylinders, which we can often pick or decode without drilling. We will tell you if yours is worth upgrading to an anti-snap cylinder.
Picking & DecodingJammed Multipoint Locks
A handle that lifts but will not open, or hooks that will not let go, points to a gearbox or alignment fault. We release it, then repair the part that failed.
Gearbox ReleaseTenants, Flats and Offices
Tenant lockouts, communal doors and office entries handled with proper ID and authority checks, so we only let in the right person.
ID & Authority ChecksNon-Destructive Entry: Back Inside Without a New Door

Locked Out of the House? We Leave It Secure Too
Lock Checked After Entry
We test the cylinder, handles, latch and keeps, so any wear behind the lockout is found and explained.
New Cylinder if Keys Are Gone
If keys are lost or stolen, we fit a new cylinder or rekey so the old keys stop working, with new keys on the spot.
Made Safe if It Cannot Be Fixed Tonight
If the door cannot be fully repaired straight away, we make it secure and come back to finish the job.

Lockout & Non-Destructive Entry FAQs
I am locked out of my house. What should I do?
First check every door and window you can safely reach, and whether anyone else holds a spare key. If someone vulnerable, a child or a pet is inside, or something is cooking, tell us straight away. Do not force the door. Call us and we will give you an honest arrival time.
Can a locksmith open a door without damage?
Often, yes. Many locks can be picked, decoded or bypassed, which leaves the cylinder and door intact. It depends on the lock, its condition and whether it was deadlocked. If drilling is the only way in, we explain why and agree the cost of the new lock first.
Do I need ID for a lockout?
Yes. Before we open any door we ask for photo ID and something linking you to the address, such as a bill, bank letter or tenancy agreement. If your ID is inside, we can check it once the door is open, before we leave. This protects you and your neighbours.
How much does it cost if I am locked out?
A 2026 price guide puts a non-destructive lockout at about £70 to £150 in normal hours, or £120 to £220 if the lock has to be drilled and replaced, with £40 to £120 extra out of hours (BestBuilders). We confirm our price before we start.
What if my keys have been stolen?
Tell us when you call. Stolen keys mean the lock should be changed or rekeyed straight away, because whoever has them may also know your address. Once you are back in, we can fit a new cylinder or lock so the stolen keys no longer work.
How fast can you reach me if I am locked out?
We take lockout calls 24 hours a day and aim to reach you as fast as traffic allows. When you call we give you an honest arrival time for your postcode. If you are standing outside in the cold or rain, let us know and we will keep you updated.
Do you open uPVC and composite doors?
Yes. Euro cylinders, multipoint gearboxes and handles are a big part of our work. If a multipoint lock has failed with the hooks still engaged, we can usually release it, then repair or replace the mechanism so the door locks properly again.
Entry or Lock Change?
Not sure whether you need entry or a lock change? Call us and we will talk you through it.
