Emergency Plumber in London, 24 Hours a Day
Urgent Plumber in London for the Leaks That Cannot Wait
Burst and Split Pipes
A pipe gives way behind a kitchen unit or splits in the loft after a cold night. We shut off the supply, cut out the damaged length and fit a proper replacement, not a clamp.
Isolate & ReplaceOverflowing Tanks and Cisterns
A loft tank or toilet cistern that will not stop filling, with water running from the overflow. We replace the stuck float or fill valve and check the tank is back under control.
Valve ReplacementNo Water or Very Low Flow
Taps dry up or slow to a trickle with no warning. We work out whether the problem is in the street or in your pipes, and get water flowing again where the fault is ours to fix.
Supply RestoredToilets and Wastes Backing Up
Water rising in the toilet or coming back up through the bath or shower. We clear the blockage in your indoor pipework and tell you straight if it is further down the drain.
Blockage ClearedValves and Joints Pouring Water
A compression joint gives way or an old isolation valve starts spraying. We stop the escape and remake the joint so it holds under full pressure.
Joint RemadeWater Through a Ceiling or Wall
A spreading stain or water dripping from a light fitting. We find whether it is a pipe, a bath waste or a tank above, stop it, and explain what needs drying out.
Leak Found & StoppedWhat to Do in a Plumbing Emergency While You Wait

We Stop the Water, Then Fix What Caused It
Damage Controlled First
Water off, floors and belongings protected where we can, and the surrounding pipework checked before we start the repair.
A Proper Fix, Not a Bodge
Failed sections, valves and joints are replaced with the right fittings. If only a temporary fix is possible at 3am, we tell you and come back to finish it.
Notes for Your Insurer
If the water has caused damage, we write down what failed and what we repaired, which helps when you call your insurer.

Emergency Plumber FAQs
What counts as a plumbing emergency?
Any situation where water is escaping and cannot be controlled, where there is no water at all, where sewage is backing up, or where water is near electrics. A dripping tap can usually wait for a booked visit. If you are unsure, call us and we will help you decide.
How much does an emergency plumber cost in London?
Price guides put a London emergency plumber call-out at around £90 to £120, plus £75 to £95 an hour (MyJobQuote, 2026). We quote in writing on site before we start, so you see the full price for labour and parts before you agree to anything.
Is there a call-out fee?
We never add hidden travel surcharges, and the price we quote on site is the price for the job. Because an emergency visit involves travel and diagnosis, we explain how that part is charged when you call, so nothing on the invoice comes as a surprise.
Do emergency plumbers charge more at night?
Yes, most do, and so do we. Work outside our normal hours of 8am to 5pm costs more than a daytime visit because a plumber is called out specially. We tell you the out-of-hours price on the phone, before anyone sets off to you.
How quickly can you get to me?
We aim to reach emergencies across London as quickly as traffic and other call-outs allow. When you call, we give you an honest arrival estimate for your postcode, and we ring you if anything changes while the plumber is on the way.
Does home insurance cover emergency plumbing?
It depends on your policy. Many buildings policies cover sudden escape-of-water damage, and some cover trace and access to find a leak, but the repair to the pipe itself is often excluded. Photograph the damage and we can give you a written note of what we found.
Who pays for a burst pipe, me or Thames Water?
Thames Water looks after the water main and the communication pipe up to your property boundary. From the boundary inward, the supply pipe and every internal pipe and fitting belong to the owner, so a burst there is a job for your own plumber or your landlord.
Is It Really an Emergency?
Tell us what you can see and hear. A plumber will tell you honestly whether you need someone now or whether it can wait for a cheaper daytime visit.
